A note on the video: At 35:00, Board Chair Matt Schuyler makes a point that there were “five public and private meetings to discuss the budget”. You may remember that the budget was sent back for reworking in July due to errors and unanticipated last minute changes. After that, and up to the Board meeting of September 15thnd and 16th, there were no meetings to deliberate the revised budget. Public meetings are, of course, the only type of meeting where Pennsylvania law and statues allow deliberation. Checking my calendar, I see only two private, ‘information only’ meetings which don’t allow deliberation. So I’m not sure what five meetings he’s referring to.
